CFA Level 1 के बाद जॉब नहीं मिल रही। NISM कर लिया कोई इंटर्नशिप नहीं दे रहा। FRM Part 1 कर लिया कोई काम नहीं दे रहा। अबे सही से बोलो ना तुम्हें ढूंढना नहीं आता। गजब बेेज्जती है यार।
चलो आज तुमको बताएंगे Step by Step कैसे Finance के फील्ड में एक इंटर्नशिप या जॉब की Hunting करनी होती है। देखो जब मैं कॉलेज में था कई सालों पहले तब एक इंटर्नशिप मिलना लिटरली बाएं हाथ का खेल था। It was crazy easy। लेकिन अब Competitive Landscape काफी बदल गया है।
So if I had to start from zero how would I do it? समझेंगे Step by Step? Let’s go।
♦ Step 1: Understand What You Want to Do
सबसे पहली चीज है Understand what you want to do। मतलब जो Role है जिसमें तुम काम करना चाहते हो पहले उसको समझ लो।
तुम सब मुझे कमेंट में बताते हो, DM करते हो कि मुझे Investment Banking करनी है, Guidance दे दो। अब तुमको पता भी है क्या कि Investment Banking में होता क्या है? कोई बंदा बोलता है मुझे Private Equity में जाना है। क्यों जाना है? क्योंकि सुनने में Cool लग गया।
हमको Vague notions होते हैं क्योंकि हम हाई सैलरी वाले Thumbnail देख लेते हैं। कोई LinkedIn Post देख लेते हैं। लेकिन हमको आइडिया ही नहीं है कि उस Industry में चलता क्या है? वहां के Customers कौन होते हैं। वहां जो Companies ऑपरेट करती हैं उनका Business कैसे चलता है।
वहां जो लोग काम करते हैं उनके Day-to-Day में क्या काम होता है। वो काम करने कौन से Skills लगते हैं। अब सिंपल है भाई अगर तुमको आइडिया ही नहीं है कि तुम्हारे Role में होता क्या है? तो तुम इंटर्नशिप देने वाले को Communicate कैसे करोगे कि तुम उसके लिए Useful हो।
And that’s the whole crux of finding a job। You are trying to sell yourself।
इसलिए आपको दो चीजों की Clarity बहुत जरूरी है। सबसे पहला उस Industry में क्या चलता है? और दूसरा आप इस Industry में कौन सा Role निभाओगे?
Role और Industry की Understanding कहां से आएगी? Channel पे चले जाओ। Investment Banking, Private Equity, Asset Management, Comparison Videos सब Posted है। वो Videos देख लो। Google और ChatGPT पे अपनी खुद की Research करो।
♦ Step 2: Stop Blaming Your College
आप सब 90% यही करते हो – blame your college। मैं Tier 2 College से हूं। मेरे कॉलेज में Placement ही नहीं होती।
भाई सुनो बहाने मारना छोड़ दो। अगर मजे की जिंदगी चल रही है तो वो सिर्फ IIM वालों की चल रही है इन टर्म्स ऑफ Placement। और उन्होंने भी बहुत घिसा है Before getting into IIM।
गिने कॉलेजेस में ही Top Level की Placement होती है उसके अलावा It is pretty substandard। कई बार तो Placement Offer ही नहीं करते कॉलेज वाले।
तो आपने क्या करना है? बहाने बनाना छोड़ना है। Focus on what you can control।
♦ Step 3: Learn Relevant Technical Skills
जो फील्ड आप Choose कर चुके हो, उसमें कौन से Technical Skills लगते हैं वो सीखो।
म्यूचुअल फंड इंडस्ट्री में जाना है? तो Research Analyst को Valuation, Forecasting, Excel आना चाहिए। Online जाकर जितनी हो सकती हैं सीख लो।
NISM का Research Analyst Course कर लो। Investment Banking चाहिए तो Sales Skills improve करो।
Skills पता करने का तरीका – ChatGPT पर जाओ और पूछो:
“I wish to work in Private Equity as a Research Analyst. As a beginner with absolutely no experience. Tell me the top five most up to date Skills I need and where I can learn them for free.”
♦ Step 4: Build Proof of Work
आप कह रहे हो आपके पास Degree है, Skill भी है लेकिन Proof कहां है?
Project बनाओ, Reports लिखो, Financial Model तैयार करो। उसे LinkedIn पर पोस्ट करो।
LinkedIn Posts से Recruiter को Proof मिलता है कि आपने सीखा है और Apply किया है।
Cold Email में, CV में, Cover Letter में उस Proof of Work का जिक्र करो।
♦ Step 5: Use Platforms, but Don’t Rely on Them
LinkedIn, Internshala, Naukri.com को Use करो लेकिन Depend मत रहो।
वहां हजारों Applications 2 घंटे में आ जाती हैं। AI Filters से बहुत कुछ Reject हो जाता है।
Stand Out करने के लिए Cold Email करो, Cold Text करो। Personalized और Recipient-Centric Approach रखो।
♦ Step 6: Networking
Job Fairs, Events में जाओ जो दूसरे कॉलेजों में होते हैं। वहां Entry Fee या Free
Entry मिलती है।
Face-to-Face बात करो और बताओ कि आप कैसे उनकी Company को Benefit दे सकते हो।
Referrals भी वहीं मिल सकते हैं।
♦ Step 7: Improve Communication
Skills आ गए, Projects बना लिए, लेकिन बात नहीं कर सकते तो सब बेकार है।
Public Speaking, English Fluency, Interview Confidence जरूरी है।
Final Words
Finance Jobs में Low Supply High Demand होती है। Competition बहुत है। Layoffs हो
रहे हैं। Market Tough है।
Discouraged मत हो। Keep learning, keep trying। कुछ ना कुछ जरूर होगा।
